Hello, i'm using the 2.1 on my Ubuntu Homeserver with the cm15ademo executable. Switching a Modul on and off works fine but if i use a scheme to switch on or off than every time a process (cm15ademo) is added to the process list. Has someone the same problem and knows a solution to this.

@Alex: there is not way to poll the light status with the current driver. there were rumors that someone had re-written it but it's long missing in action. I think that limitation will hinder your desired additions.

I just started using this product tonight and I've already made some decent modifications to the UI look at behavior. I've improved the style and added some functionality/visual feedback.

I would like to talk about contributing to the UI design for this project but I can't seem to find any contact info or source code tree.

Please contact me if interested. Thanks.

Thanks for your great work on the iphone how controller. I was wondering if you might be able to help me out with a design question on a small project i'm working on.

I would like to create 2 webpages to show the following:

1. x10 device status (webpage with real time status of items - eg. living room light appears on and is yellow vs white when it's off)
2. To create an x10 event log that can be shown on a webpage - possibly having the ability to only show certain logs (eg only security sensors).

What I really want to do is create a webpage for my house that I can interact with via my phones browser to see the current status of lights, occupancy, etc and also be able to view a log of x10 events.

I'm not a programmer as you can probably tell but I am fairly technically capable. Would I need to create some sort of script that would write to a webpage based on received x10 commands / alter values (color of light text) etc?

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Best regards,

Alex

@Peter,
I installed X10 controls (using CM19A) and the controller software on a XP virtual machine running on VMware. It is working fine for me.

Would it be a good idea to make VMWare and/or Virtualbox virtual machine with everything installed? Linux (Ubuntu SE) + Eclipse Home Automation CM15A Drivers. I'm not a linux person but if someone could create this for me... I would reward this.

Hello Chuck,
My only concern was that I was allowing anybody with internet access to turn on and off the lights in my house. So I put in a simple password protect script to the index.php file. Now people have to login to access my x10 stuff. Just a tip.

I found the script at www.zubrag.com.

I started over and got past the point identified in my prior post.
Now, when I enter a module Name (Office) and select a Type (light), Letter (A) and number(1) and when I click ADD, I get 'Done' at the bottom,
But when I go to the modules screen no active modules are shown. Any idea what's wrong here?

Then I noticed that the 'collation' field for both of the imported tables is 'latin1_sweedish1_ci', Does this matter? If it does, what do I do about it?
Also, I'm not sure if it matters, but when doing an import what settings should I be using for:Character Set, Partial Import and Format of imported file?

Thanks

Everything works until I try to set up a module.
I enter a module Name (Office) and select a Type (light), Letter (A) and number(1) and when I click ADD, I get the following error message:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in C:\Program Files\XAMPP for X10 iPhone\xampp\htdocs\index.php on line 25
